The TU Berlin is keen to develop its profile as a technical university within the science and business location Berlin. The difference to the other regional higher education institutions is to become clearer. The international standing of the university is also to be improved.
In addition to the seven faculties, various centres of excellence are being set up. Faculties and scientific institutes are increasingly taking over administrative responsibilities from the central administration.
